Survey for Climate–Energy–Economy Modellers: Help Us Improve Communication of Modelling Results

A short survey has been launched within the ACCLIMATE project to better understand how modelling teams in the climate, energy, and economy fields communicate their work through online platforms and tools. The survey can be found here

Its aim is to better understand:

  • How modellers currently communicate their results and model documentation;
  • What additional needs exist for improving communication and comprehension of modelling outputs;
  • What types of features could further enhance understanding of modelling results.

The findings will inform the further development of the IAM PARIS platform, an open online space designed to support the communication of climate mitigation scenarios and modelling outputs. Insights may also contribute to improving platform services across the wider modelling community, as results will be shared publicly.

Participation will help identify practical ways to strengthen the presentation and accessibility of modelling results, both for fellow modellers and for researchers, policymakers, and other stakeholders who rely on scenario analysis.

The survey takes approximately 5–7 minutes to complete. All responses will be treated confidentially and analysed in aggregated form. Modellers working in climate, energy, and economic fields are encouraged to participate and share the survey within their networks.
