ACCLIMATE develops tools and frameworks to assess and improve the transparency, adequacy, fairness, and feasibility of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and long-term strategies, informing more effective and equitable national commitments.
Advancing Sectoral Pathways
We deliver detailed mitigation pathways across key sectors such as energy, industry, buildings, transport, and AFOLU, addressing climate impacts, non-CO₂ emissions, and the social and economic trade-offs of deep decarbonisation.
Fostering Inclusive Climate Governance
Through collaboration with policymakers and stakeholders, we co-create actionable strategies and offer recommendations to strengthen international cooperation and ensure just and effective climate governance.
ACCLIMATE brings together a diverse and inclusive consortium of 20 leading institutions from Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas. This partnership includes top-tier universities and policy think tanks, working across both high-emitting economies and low-emitting, climate-vulnerable countries in West Africa.
